Belize was relatively COVID-19 free until early August. As with everywhere, it is a fluid situation; however, with extensive testing and tracing and the Government of Belize and Ministry of Health continue to actively monitor the situation.

Will a medical test be required to travel to Belize?
Yes, a negative COVID-19 PCR test result will be necessary to enter the country of Belize. The airport opening is part of a “phased reopening” and procedures, protocols and policies are in place to keep Belizeans and visitors safe.

What testing is required?
Belize requires that all visitors (children and adults) have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result within 72 hours of your arrival in Belize for fast-track processing through the Belize International Airport.

What about the Belize Health App?

After filling out the eight-step application process, a unique QR code will be provided which should be presented to health authorities at the international airport upon arrival.
