Hello,
On the 4th Thursday of each November, our American friends celebrate Thanksgiving, and while not a Belizean holiday, due the American community living in Belize and many of our friends and family, many of us celebrate Thanksgivings in Belize. Many celebrate with the traditional turkey and trimmings and at BRL, we offer our guests a Belize’d Thanksgiving with a stuffed baked Snapper, Mashed Potatoes and all the rest. Making it truly a Thanksgiving, many of Mike and Marguerite’s family join guest at the dinner table to celebrate.
Thanksgiving is also the start of the holiday season and we start looking at our blessings, in which we realize, we have many.
1. Peace and Freedom, when we know others are not as lucky
2. Surviving the 2022 hurricane season and looking forward to 2023’s 63rd year of business.
3. Another year hosting guests, friends and family at our historic mahogany table, sharing stories and reminiscing about life’s stories
4. The spectacular color of beautiful sunrises and sunsets.
5. Delicious dinners on fun vacations
6. Hot coffee in the morning, limeade at lunch and cocktails/wine with dinner
7. Unexpected Surprises such as this year, a fall large tarpon migration
8. A sense of humor making life easier for yourself and others
9. Kindness – to ourselves and others
10. Of course, health for ourselves, guests, friends and family – another year of life, love and happiness.
From our home to yours, may all the good things of life be yours, not only at Thanksgiving but throughout the coming year.
Thankful and blessed!
Warm regards,
Marguerite
