Greetings! from Belize River Lodge,
A friendly hello wave from Belize; Mike, Marguerite and our BRL crew have all stayed well and positive during this hard pandemic year. We have laid low for awhile but wanted to reach out and say hi and update you on BRL.
To help spur your interest, BRL has a more relaxed COVID-19 booking and cancellation policy.
COVID-19 Deposit Policy: To confirm your reservation a deposit of 30% is required at the time of booking with full payment to be received within 30 days prior to arrival.
COVID-19 Cancellation Policy: If at any point up to the day of arrival, you need to cancel your trip due to COVID19 related circumstances, personal or in Belize, you will receive a full credit to be used towards any future visit. Anything non-Covid-19, regular cancellation policy applies.
We have great news to report, Belize finally implemented the ban on gill nets (Statutory Instrument 158 of 2020). Mike has always worked diligently with Fisheries and other entities from the very beginning, working toward this ban. The ladies in the office have been instrumental in getting the National Sports Fishing Association started, all with hoping for the betterment of our fishery in Belize; so this is wonderful news in a year that we have never seen.
We hope that you and your families have stayed safe and healthy during this crazy, COVID-19 pandemic year and we look forward to staying in touch with you more often, now that Belize is open and all the elections (USA & Belize) are over.

Belize River Lodge is Gold Standard Certified!
Belize River Lodge qualified under both the hotel/lodging and tour operator/fishing Gold Standard Recognition Program, and we were ready for the October 1st opening. So anytime you have guests, we are ready.
Guests will need to follow the Gov of Belize protocols (the biggest “todo” is a negative COVID19 test 72 hours prior to arrival in Belize). American Airlines is making this easier by offering passengers to Belize the PCR test.

2021 BRL Package Rates
After a crazy COVID-19 2020, Mike and I decided to keep our package rates the same for 2021, giving our angling friends a good incentive to get back to Belize and Flats Fishing at a reasonable rate.
The links below are the main packages. BRL packages of more or less days are available, Long Caye packages, combo BRL/LCOL packages, single angler and eco-tours and combinations of all options are offered. Please contact us if you do not see a package that you need.
Belize River Lodge Package Rates
December 21 into 2021, BRL goes back to regular rates. Our 2019/2020 rates are carrying over into 2021. Below are basic 2021 rates (2019 & 2020 rates)
BRL Fishing Packages ~ Cost per person, based on double occupancy
4 Nights/3 Days Lodge Fishing Package is US$2,525.00 per person, based on double occupancy.
5 Nights/4 Days Lodge Fishing Package is US$3,250.00 per person, based on double occupancy.
6 Nights/5 Days Lodge Fishing Package is US$3,898.00 per person, based on double occupancy.
7 Nights/6 Days Lodge Fishing Package is US$4,575.00 per person, based on double occupancy.
BRL Fishing Package Includes: Round trip airport (BZE) transfers in Belize, accommodations, air conditioning in rooms, hair dryers, toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, lotion & soap), daily housekeeping, all meals – including a box lunch, soda & drinking water, guided fishing, skiff & fuel, Belize Taxes of 9% Hotel Tax & 12.5% GST tax.
BRL Fishing Package Does Not Include: Airfare to & from Belize, fishing equipment & tackle, Belize Fishing License (US$25.00 per angler, per week), alcoholic beverages, tips to guides and staff, Belize Departure Tax
