THE BIG MIGRATORY TARPON ARE HERE AGAIN; RIGHT ON SCHEDULE. Charlie was the only one here in mid February to meet them; you should have been here too.
Steve usually caught the first 100 pounder of the season, but this year it was Charlie’s turn. This week these huge fish were seen tailing in five feet of water! Yes, one hundred pounders, TAILING like giant bonefish as they fed on the bottom; a rare sight indeed.
Also this week the Sharp party caught four Grand Slams which included 30 bonefish, 7 tarpon from 8-55 pounds, 10 snook, plus cudas, snappers and jacks.
Today Mick landed his tenth Grand Slam.
Other guests today landed 20 bonefish in an hour and a half, 10 ladyfish, jacks, snappers and a small grouper.
Large schools of bonefish are also being seen every day.
Schools of permit, snook and small tarpon seem to be in very good supply.
