Tagging Challenge

Belize River Lodge, along with Frontiers & Bonefish & Tarpon Trust are hosting the 2nd Annual Tagging Challenge May 18 to 24, 2013.

The tagging challenge is a way to support the ongoing studies taking place in Belize at this time.   We need to tag as many Bonefish and Permit and dna test as many Tarpon as possible, to see growth patterns, migration areas and much more.  The first step is to tag, then second is the recapture and re-release.

We are hoping the second Tagging Challenge week, is going to be a fun week, fishing, catching & tagging Bonefish and Permit & DNA sampling Tarpon, all in order to help science, with prizes for top anglers at the end.   Prize sponsors are Bonefish & Tarpon Trust (BTT), Costa del Mar, Frontiers, Hardy, Patagoina, Sage & Winston.

The tagging Challenge will give us an opportunity to help tag as many Bonefish & Permit as possible and Belize River Lodge and Frontiers will make a donation to BTT for future research.
